Skilled Bookbinders with 25+ Years Experience
Rag & Bone bookbinders have been binding books since 1991. Every aspect of the binding process is handled in our bookbinding studio. The materials such as designer textiles, board and paper are sourced from local vendors and our trained bookbinders carefully craft these materials into books and Albums which will last a lifetime. Founder Jason Thompson has authored several books on bookbinding and journaling. We're proud to carry on the tradition of bookbinding and to be able to foster a studio culture based on respect for employees and customers.
Handmade
Rag & Bone books and Albums are created solely by hand: the fabrics and papers are trimmed by hand, the boards (covers) are glued and wrapped by skilled bookbinders. Albums are drilled and sewn one-at-a-time, and our journals and other bindings are assembled using traditional bookbinding tools and techniques.
Archival
We use acid-free papers as pages for all of our books. Just as important, our bookbinders skillfully craft books which are well-bound, and designed to last a lifetime. Read all about how we make our books.
